Plaistow’s Biggest Morning Tea

Join us for a meaningful cause at Plaistow’s Biggest Morning Tea, a fundraiser benefiting cancer research at the Cancer Council. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 25th, from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Every contribution directly supports the Cancer Council’s vital work.

Cancer has impacted us all, whether personally or through loved ones. Thanks to ongoing research, survival rates have significantly improved across various forms of cancer.

Experience the charm of the historic Plaistow estate, offering stunning views of the Joyces Creek valley. The Skilbeck family warmly welcomes you to their heritage-listed house and garden, among the oldest in the Central Goldfields region.

Indulge in unlimited tea, freshly brewed coffee, and delightful scones straight from the oven. Enjoy live music by Maldon’s Platform Souls, browse through stalls offering plants and other treats, and participate in our raffle. A Cancer Council speaker will share insights around 11 am, followed by the raffle draw at 11:30 am.

We invite volunteers to assist with stalls, serving, ticket sales, gatekeeping, or donating goods. Entry is by donation at the Plaistow garden gate. Ample parking is available along the drive, with drop-off spots near the house and accommodations for limited mobility.

Plaistow’s location is 324 Rodborough Road, Joyces Creek, just 7 km west of Newstead. For inquiries, reach out to Lilian and Peter Skilbeck at 0419 884 710 or plaistow@bigpond.com. Your support makes a difference.
