Sponsorship boosts school swim carnivals, water safety programs

Neil Scriven from Scriven Exploration Pty Ltd is once again throwing his support behind the Barkly Region Sport Education swimming and water safety program.

Neil’s company, Scriven Exploration Pty Ltd, known for its mineral exploration efforts north of Tennant Creek, understands the importance of water safety, especially in remote areas. They’re stoked to chip in and back swimming and water safety programs in the Barkly Region, showing their commitment to community development and safety.

This ain’t the first rodeo for Scriven Exploration sponsoring the Barkly Region Sport Education. Their ongoing support has given kids from remote communities the chance to dive into swimming and water safety lessons, arming them with life-saving skills. It also sets them up to jump in the pool at the annual Barkly Region Inter-school Swimming Carnival, where they can bond with their community and enjoy some healthy competition.

With the recent downpour across the Barkly Region, the water safety smarts picked up by our remote students over the past couple of years could well be a lifesaver. The Barkly schools are tipping their hats to Mr Scriven for his generous donation, knowing it’s making a real difference in our neck of the woods. We’re revved up for another crack at the Barkly Region inter-school swimming carnival and diving into more swimming and water safety programs in 2024 and 2025. Cheers, Neil!
